The previous incarnation of Yaranakya focused on words and names used in anime. While I updated sporadically, as was always the intent, I think the blog served its purpose during that time – providing the reader with some new, interesting information.
The issue is, that made for mostly impersonal content. The new Yaranakya I want is something more open, letting you in on a wide array of my thoughts, opinions and experiences. A part of me has always thought nobody would be interested in that, but hey, I go around reading that kind of editorial-type posts on other blogs, so out with the hypocrisy!
Another thing that is changing is that I will actually be posting on a schedule this time around! Drop in every Friday for a new post (currently planning 9PM GMT, so a bit past noon for those of you from the US). If I have more content to share, I will drop it somewhere in the middle of the week, but we will cross that bridge when we get there.
On a side note, I will be cleaning up/updating my blogroll, so drop a line if you want me to link to you.

I figured I would visit this blog more often since you stopped by my castle a year ago and only now do I realize that you have somewhat similar tastes as I do.
I drop by your place every now and then, and yes, there’s some obvious overlap. I think this season, it’s Yuyushiki ;).
I am glad you’re also enjoying Yuru Yuri 2 1/2.
I think I’m enjoying Yuyushiki more than Yuru Yuri so far. I’m somewhat conflicted about Yuru Yuri in general. The second season almost made it to my top 12 for the year – on the one hand, I think it only had maybe two outstanding episodes (the imoutos and time travel ones), on the other hand, it’s very consistent and rarely falls completely flat.
But if season 3 does come out, I demand less Yuru, more Yuri ;p.
